Title: regulator design steps? universal testbench? Post by Benjamin on Nov 11th, 2008, 9:36pm Can someone recommend a step by step guide covering basics like sizing the differential pairs, choosing tail current, second stage to first stage sizing ratios, etc etc? I have used the universal testbench with two diffamps in series in order to measure gain, CMRR, but could use a step by step guide to go along with the unviersal testbench. I am familiar with how to verify 2 stage diffamps and folded cascode regulators. But need to learn more about ground up design steps. Any suggestions are appreciated? Thanks in advance. |

Post by Ken Kundert on Nov 11th, 2008, 10:03pm I don't know what the universal test bench is, but you can measure a lot of transfer functions all at once using an XF analysis. Combine it with ideal baluns to handle differential circuits. -Ken |
