Folks,

Does anyone have an opinion (LRM backable would be highly appreciated) on the following scenario ?

If a top-level component instantiation has a terminal port (say TT) and an across quantity (TQ) initialized to
a value xx, does/should this initial value "propagate" onto (and thus be observable in) an across quantity (Q) declared across the terminal port (T) of the actual component ?
It does make sense that this happen for values while
simulation is in the time domain etc, but what about during initialization ?

I would say yes, it should be propagated, but I would have to try to simulate to be sure. Notice that actual simulators do not always respect the IEEE standard.

BTW, Ken, would it be possible to have a feature to include small pictures in the posts. IMHO, this could be very helpful.
