Title: Plot the CV curve using the spectre
Post by kim57 on Feb 1st, 2007, 5:19am

hi all,

I use the spectre to simulate some capacitor, i need to plot the capacitance vs the supply voltage.
it's there anywhere for me to do so?? please help me if anyone know how to do that..
thanks

Spectre allows you to do an ac sweep at a fixed frequency; do
 spectre -h ac
and look at the "freq" parameter.  Set it to 1/(2*pi) and put a voltage source with ac magnitude 1 on the capacitor.  The imaginary part of the current is now exactly equal to the capacitance.

is there an easy way to plot just the current through Cgd, Cgs...etc

thanks,
aaron
