Title: Ultrasim options setting Post by Pavel on Feb 8th, 2007, 5:21am Hello In AMS Options of Hierarchy Editor one can change following settings: 1. Simulation Mode 2. Analog 3. Speed 4. MOS method 5. Diode method These settings are global - for whole design. But locally (in Cell Bindings window or in Tree View window) one can change only 2 settings 1. Simulation Mode 2. Speed According to my actual experience, the most important setting (in sense of accuracy and speed) is MOS method. If I choose Spice for MOS method, I have impression, that Ultrasim is slowly than Spectre. If I need MOS method - Spice only for small part of schema what should I do? Regards. Pavel. |
Title: Re: Ultrasim options setting Post by byang on Feb 9th, 2007, 10:58pm I think you can use sim_mode=a or sim_mode=s to use table model or Spice model respectively. By the way, in what sitiation that you must have the accuracy of Spice model? Byang |
Title: Re: Ultrasim options setting Post by Pravinkumar on Jun 19th, 2007, 4:18am I guess setting the ultrasim option for mos_method in the schematic view would solve your problem. This will override the global option set for mos_method. My suggestion would be to declare the mos_method as a string in the instance property and add the appropriate value s.(for spice). And check the "Allow usim_opt on schematic" in the ultrasim simulator options. I haven't tried this. But hope this will work. Regards, Pravin |
