Title: Do VCO measurement required chip on test board? Post by kazkou on Jan 31st, 2018, 4:48am Hi everyone, I am a master student, my lab focus on low-speed design and application, I am the only one who tries to design high-speed circuit, so I have no clue about these things.  My given target is to design a high-speed CDR, before I complete the cdr design, I wish to tapeout the VCO first. For high-speed CDR(20Gbs), it needs the chip on (PCB) test board to test and measure, am I right? How about VCO?   Thanks, regards.
