how to introduce model name in create netlist
Jun 06th, 2005, 6:38pm

Dear all,

When I draw the schemaitc I appoint the model name "NE" for a high voltage NMOS in the object properties, but when I use the "CDL" to create the netlist, all the "NE" are replaced by "NM", because the special NMOS transistors are so many that I don't want to change them one by one, is there any easy way to introduce the model name?

For your primitive component, if you look at:

Tools->CDF->Edit

enter the library name/cell name of the mosfet (or use the browser). Note, if you're going to change the component, you'll need to set the CDF Type to "Base" rather than Effective.

Then scroll down to the simulation information section. Hit the Edit button in that section, and change the simulator cyclic to "auCdl". You'll see something called "instParameters" there. If you add "model" to the instParameters, it allows you to netlist the model from a CDF parameter called model (which you can use the propMapping for if it is defined as a parameter called something else), rather than using the modelName setting in the auCdl simInfo.

If you want to change all instances of this component, change the modelName in the auCdl simInfo to whatever you want.

This is covered in more detail in the Analog Simulation Help

<instdir>/doc/anasimhelp/anasimhelp.pdf

and the CDF user guide:

<instdir>/doc/cdfuser/cdfuser.pdf

(you could of course look at these using cdsdoc; I just
gave the paths to the PDFs for convenience).

Regards,

Andrew.

Andrew,

Thank you very much, I can introduce the model name now under your guide.
