Good connector for differential signal
Aug 29th, 2007, 2:54am

Hi,

Does anybody knows a good compact connector for transmitting differential signal (LVPECL, LVDS) over 5 - 10m ?
The signal's frequency is about 400MHz.
I was thinking about 2 SMA connectors, but this will take a little bit too much place.
Has anybody already used LEMO 00 connectors for similar application ?

Thank you
Regards

If you can do it in any way, use the SMAs.  THe headache of the smaller connectors just isn't worth it, especially at 400 MHz.  Be careful about terminating your traces too at the data sink.
