buffer for measurement
Dec 04th, 2007, 12:38am

Hi all,

I need to measure a circuits performance up to around 20 MHz. I'm using a wafer probe station. Is is safe to not buffer the output on chip, but simply use some kind of off chip instrumentation amplifier to buffer the signal? I'm afraid that the RF probes might affect the circuit if no on-chip buffering is used, but they shouldn't since the have very low capacitance. They are designed for 50 ohm systems however...

thanks,
Aaron
