Reply #2 - Sep 11^th, 2008, 11:34am find the maximum tolerable Vgs and Vds (and others) for the foundry process, and if you respect those limits all the time (on, off, startup, shutdown, all conditions) you should be able to do it.

Hi xwj623,

This mainly depends on the break-down voltage of the MOS devices in the process you intend to use. As a rule of thumb, 0.13um MOSFET break-down voltage will be about 2.08V(gate oxide ~2.6nm->2.6x0.8=2.08V). Therefore I would �strongly suggest you NOT to do so if taking voltage variation etc into account.
Of course you will get more detailed information from your foundry which I believe will give you same advice.
