Hi guys,
can you guys suggest some way to estimate approximately the bandwidth of a higher order RC network...first cut estimation is ok...thanks a lot...

I´m afraid that there will be no general procedure for estimation since the result will strongly depend on the various values for R resp.C.

Hi manodipan,
here is an idea which has come just to my mind:
There is a theory (EET:Extra Element Theorem) developped by the famous R.D. Middlebrook and extensively described from one of his former students V. VORPERIAN in his book "Fast analytical techniques for electrical and electronic circuits".
This is a method to derive formulas for each circuit in a form which enables one to evaluate the influence of the various parts just by visual inspection. Simple example: All parallel connections appear in the form X1||X2. Middlebrook calls this form "low entropy form".
Perhaps this is something interesting in the context you have described.

hi manodeepan,
there is a general rule to estimate bw of a network(provided there is no ZEROS,COMPLEX POLES).find open circuit time constants individually and then add .
you will get approximate system time constant.inverse of that one gives bw.IN T H lee book he has explained with examples.
Thank you.
