how to measure VCO phase noise

VCO frequency is dowonconverted  to a IF signal, I have  measured the IF phase noise, but how to calculate VCO phase noise  ?

If you know phase noise of LO signal to down convert VCO to IF, you can evaluate phase noise of VCO.
