Dec 16^th, 2009, 8:31am Hello All, I am wondering if anyone know if SMD capacitors are now available in smaller than 0201 sizes. My maximum capacitor is 100nF. Currently we get capacitors from pF to 220nF in 0201. I am looking for sizes smaller than 0201 for 100nF capacitance. Thanks ic_engr

Maybe you mean "EIA" code. However I mean "JIS" code.
JIS "0603" is equivalent to EIA "0201".
JIS "0402" is equivalent to EIA "01005".

JIS "0603" is 0.6mm x 0.3mm
JIS "0402" is 0.4mm x 0.2mm

As mass products,
You can get 0.01uF=10nF for JIS "0402" size.
You can get 0.47uF=470nF for JIS "0603" size.

As engineering sample, you can get 1uF=1000nF for JIS "0603" size.
