Cadence Virtuoso and ADS momentum
Dec 08th, 2010, 8:34am

Hi,

I have to make a simple inductive filter circuit in Cadence Virtuoso. The schematic part is OK but I do not see any standard cell layout for inductor in the kit. I am new to analog/RF design and unsure how to go about it.

I understand ADS momentum can do layout for inductors. Can I use Cadence Virtuoso and ADS momentum together? How do I import the layout made in momentum to Cadence.

Please guide.

Thanks,
Abhi

Thanks for your reply.
Then what is the method to layout an inductor if it is not given in the standard cell?
I can draw a metal ring, but how would I define the number of rings and other parameters for an inductor. LVS error will also come up as it would treat it as a wire.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
