dynamic parameter calculation for ADC designed in cadence
Mar 10th, 2013, 10:43pm

I have design an ADC,now want to test the dynamic parameters.
I have refer forum and many are suggested for MATLAB.
For MATLAB,what data should be dumped from cadence ?
Should it be reconstructed sine wave from DAC o/p or
DAC is not required, only ADC's o/p (digital bits) saved in table
should be dumped in MATLAB to do FFT and further post processing ?
It's really urgent for my project.......

Please reply fast......
I have refer following link where MATLAB code is given......

Satya,

There is a another option you might want to try. Virtuoso can now
output data converter dynamic parameters, if you are using IC615,
hopefully a recent ISR. Plot the waveform and select Measurements
--> Spectrum. From there just enter the details for the measurement.
When Plot is selected, the FFT is plotted and the measurements are
dumped to the Outputs pane. You can also save the measurements
to ADE so they only need to be setup once.

Thank you for your quick response.
But am doing in cadence IC 5.1 and there is no such option.
If u tell me how to do it in MATLAB then it will be a great help.
Should I use ideal DAC at o/p of ADC or directly dump digital
data to MATLAB.........
