DDR/IO standards
Jul 24th, 2014, 9:49pm

Hi All

I am a novice to this IO/DDR standards stuff and have a basic question on the same, could you answer the following question:

"Why HSTL is used for RLDRAM2/3 and why cant SSTL be used? SImilarly for DDR3 why cant we use HSTL instead of SSTL?"

Thanks....

DDR - Double Data Rate
SSTL - Stub Series Terminated Logic
HSTL - High Speed Transceiver Logic
