TSMC-65
Oct 18th, 2021, 1:52pm

I have many types of transistors in my PDK
some have in their name mac for example nch_mac and nch_25_mac.
I don't understand what does the mac stand for and what does it add to the transistor!
Thanks in advance

I can't say anything specific about your PDK; I would expect the documentation from the foundry should explain this. In general, the "macro model" subcircuits can add things like well diodes (esp for pmos), or additional equations for layout-dependent effects (lod stress model, well proximity effect), and sometimes can also include additional parasitic elements (contact resistance, or capacitance between the drain and source contacts, etc.).
