Post by logan on Nov 12th, 2004, 2:04pm

Q. is it not abnormal that I get a difference of 9 dB in losses between an ideal inductor and one from the model library ( i am using austriamicrosystems 3 metal cmos 0.35u) thanks

well depnds on
>Number of turns
>inter filament spacing
>Area left in the middle
>And o course the freq..
you get the best Q (the minimum loss) for a (/or more) combination(s) of the above factors..
The otherway to check is to read the manual of technology..
hope it helps.
