Title: SFDR analysis
Post by richloo on Feb 7th, 2005, 6:13pm

hi guyz, can anyone tell me wat is SpuriousFreeDynamicRange and how to simulate it??? I was told this is an important parameter for CT filter.

Thanks in advance!

SFDR is the difference between the first (fundamental) frequency peak and the next highest harmonic peak in a fourier plot.
It gives an indication of how good is your rejection in terms of the baseband signal

To simulate it, simply plot the FFT of the AC responce and write the diff equation in the calculator in cadence. (Be careful on noting the peak ... it might be in Volts or power... appropriately take the difference)
