Title: - How to start up an oscillator in SpectreRF - Post by Alez on Apr 1st, 2005, 5:23am Dear all, I have some problem about simulating an oscillator. My oscillator has no voltage/current pulses to start up, it just takes a while before the output signals growth and stabilized. But, surprisingly, when I applied a voltage pulse as the supply voltage, the oscillator does not work !!!! ------------ My problems are: --------------- - In SpectreRF simulation, how should I start an oscillator and can be sure that it will work in reallity ? - I found that, in PSS simulation, SpectreRF does not allow using any voltage/current pulse in a circuit. So, how could I start it up ??? Thank you all in advace, Alez |

Title: Re: - How to start up an oscillator in SpectreRF - Post by Andrew Beckett on Apr 2nd, 2005, 8:05am As a further note, you can apply an impulse with a pulse source - just don't specify the period. That way the source is then a one-shot and not periodic. You can't have periodic sources when you're using PSS in autonomous mode. Regards, Andrew. |
