can anybody suggest a reference to a carrier tracking loop for the SSB-SC, without pilot carrier....
i can not find in any textbook and on internet.... i keep hearing that it is difficult nut is it impossible...
i know costas loop will not work and also any squaring method...

let me clarify ... I am looking for a reference on... how to generate the control law(voltage) for the VCO in a SSB-SC receiver scheme... I have seen some SSB-SC receiver where they use VCXOs with very good stability and acceptable performance for suitable applications...
