Title: Plot a BSIM parameter in Cadence
Post by fran2k5 on Jul 21st, 2005, 9:44am

Hello everybody,

does anybody know how to plot the variation of a BSIM model parameter in Cadence? If yes which one I can plot?

Thanx a lot,

frank

I don't think you can plot any model parameters, because they're fixed.  (Well, OK, some of them vary with temperature, so you might want to plot them as a function of a temperature sweep.)

However, some of the internal variables or "operating point parameters" can be plotted.  "spectre -help bsim3v3" will give you a list; things like gm, gds, vdsat, vth, etc. are available.  You need a save statement in the netlist, like

save MN1:all

Don't know how to get that into the netlist from ADE, though.
