Title: PSS-PAC mechanism
Post by rfzingle on Nov 23rd, 2005, 12:58pm

Could any one please explain exactly how PSS-PAC is performed . Here is exactly where my confusion is ...

So I do understand that PSS achieves the steady state solution and stores time varying operating point information for one cycle. Now my confusion is how exactly PAC is applied on to this PSS information.

So it is possible that FFT is done on the PSS information and then AC is applied around each of those tones. But how does spectre calculate the operating point information for each tone. Or is it that AC is done around each of the periodic operating point and then it is converterd to frequency domain information.

Thanks ...

See section 4.2 in http://www.designers-guide.org/Analysis/rf-sim.pdf.
