Title: .opt not working
Post by modern_analog on Dec 29th, 2005, 6:12pm

When I run cadence analog artist, I can get .op working from calculator

However, I can never get .opt (which I believe is op point during transient)?

Do you have to do anything special

Also does anyone have any good link to analog waveform viewer (AWD) manual - I always get stuck at some of the more advanced things and don't want to clutter up this board

I don't think anything special is needed to use the OPT button in the calculator. It prompts you to select an instance, and then you choose the operating point parameter from the pulldown list. This uses the finalTimeOP-info data from the psf directory. This generates the expression in the calculator, which you can then use as normal.

As for the manual, you can find this in your installation, either using cdsdoc or by looking at <instdir>/doc/anawavefm/anawavefm.pdf . If using a recent version, there's also the wavescan/wavescan.pdf document.

Regards,

Andrew.
