Title: Phase Noise Simulation Method in SpectreRF
Post by robertwanner on Jan 25th, 2006, 6:13am

Hello, I have the following question:

How does SpectreRF simulate the oscillator phase noise?

I have read the Document "Oscillator Noise Analysis in SpectreRF" (which can be found at http://www.cadence.com/whitepapers/oscnoise.pdf). On page 20 I have found the reference to Anzill and Kaertner. This method circumvents the inversion of the Jacobi Matrix by calculating the eigenvectors. Unfortunately the document does not tell whether this method is used for the phase noise analysis or not.

Is there anyone who can give me "the" reference to the method used in cadence?

PS: I have posted a similar message allread in the "Phase Noise and Jitter Measurements" chapter but unfortunately nobody answered.
