Title: Ideal switch with piece wise linear resistance.
Post by venky on Feb 7th, 2006, 7:29pm

Does anyone know how to build a piecewise linear switch ( A switch whose resistance varies with input voltage).
Background of the problem : In switch cap circuits typically the initial design is done with ideal switches. These
ideal switches go from ON resistance of a few ohms to OFF resistance of teraohmes(which u can set) . Such abrupt
changes in resistance causes convergence issues in spectre. If we can build a switch which changes its resistance in
linear way then simulators should not have that problem.
