Title: Including SPICE netlist
Post by jcpu2006 on Feb 13th, 2006, 9:48pm

Hi, I am analog guy following Composor --> Virtuosso --> Calibre flow.
From time to time, I end up with some SPICE netlists
which I would really like to put back somewhere into my original Composor scheme.
Maybe as a certain "??? view" in a cell where I can generate a "Symbol View" for it,
so that I can integrate this part of circuit latter under Composor scheme by just drawing its symbol
instead of manually inclusion of the SPICE netlist after each CDL OUT NETLIST.

Thanks in advance.

If it's for CDL netlisting, you can do that. It's covered in http://sourcelink.cadence.com solutions - numbers 11164856 and 11164862 (depending on which netlister you're using).

Bit pushed for time at the moment, otherwise I'd give the full details here.

Andrew.

Hi,

it is not clear whether you are talking about including a CDL netlist or about Calibre PEX extraction, which you want to generate a schematic from for post-layout simulation. In the first case, please follow Andrew's instructions. In the latter case, you find an appnote here:

Dear Paul:

It should be the first case. And it's general, for another example,
we now do PLL with divider and it's control by verilog.
Digital designers outcome is working netlist in SPICE format.
Which is acceptable.

But my top cell is drawn by composor. So I need  to include the divider netlist for all purpose.

Thanks,
