Title: Hspice - saving starting points
Post by Ingvar on Feb 15th, 2006, 12:19am

Hi,
I am wondering if there is any way to save points during Hspice simulation which can then later be used as starting points. For instance in Spectre you can start a new simulation from the end point of a old simulation (provided you haven't over written the final condition file). It think it also has some way of periodically saving points, say for instance every 10us of simulation time, so that you can later start a new simulation from any of these points. Is there any similar function in Hspice, and in that case how do you set it up?

Hspice has a .SAVE/.LOAD command pair that will do roughly the same thing. The .SAVE command will allow you to specify a file, a format type (.ic or .nodeset) and also a time at which you want to save the information. You can then use the .LOAD command to initialize future runs.

Hope this helps -

Kristin
