Title: Simulation of flicker noise Post by rajanarender_suram on Feb 28th, 2006, 9:46pm How to simulate flicker noise in MOSFETs using Cadence?(looking for setup) |
Title: Re: Simulation of flicker noise Post by Andrew Beckett on Mar 1st, 2006, 12:23pm You need to have the appropriate model parameters - which you can find in the documentation. You could use "spectre -h bsim3v3" or whatever device model you're using, and look for the noise parameters. Regards, Andrew. |
Title: Re: Simulation of flicker noise Post by raul on Mar 19th, 2006, 8:25pm You can take the open loop test harness that you're currently using for your circuit and just add the noise analysis to it. Specify the frequency range, output node, input ac source and then look in your results browser for the "in" noise. If you want output referred noise, then you can't use the open loop harness. You would have to configure the circuit in the real feedback configuration to get the right answer. Hope this helps. |
Title: Re: Simulation of flicker noise Post by rajanarender_suram on Mar 19th, 2006, 9:30pm Hi guys i found a setup and like to share with you ![]() vgs should be such that fet is in stong inversion and vds such that fet is in saturation.. select out put terminals as drain node and gnd.. and input port as source of vgs. do the noise analysis .. in is the input referred noise and out is the output noise Rgds Rajanarender |
