Title: SNR in Cadence 5.0.33
Post by fran2k5 on Mar 19th, 2006, 6:27am

Hello everybody,

I would like to ask you how to calculate from simulations the SNR at the output of a sigma-delta modulator.
I am currently using Cadence Spectre 5.0.33. Is there any way with the use of the Calculator?

Thank you very much,

frank2k5

fran2k5,

If SINAD is acceptable, then you can use the Spectre's Fourier
analysis tool. Unfortunately, the analogLib implementation is
incomplete and you will need to manually setup the Fourier
analysis.

                                                          Best Regards,

                                                              Sheldon

Thank you Sheldon,

could you please give me more details on how to use the fourier tool from analogLib?

Thanks again,

fran2k5

Sheldon,

I have tried the fourier tool but I do not think it can do the job. It only provides the magnitude and phase of harmonics for a specified fundamental frequency. Did I get anything wrong?
Thanks,
