Title: help on repeating simple t/h example in SpectreRF Post by LL on Jun 28th, 2006, 12:31am Hi - I'm new to spectreRF and find the article "Simulating Switched-Capacitor Filters with SpectreRF" (under Anaysis/Analog SImulation) extremely informative. However, I'm having a difficult time repeating the figures for just a simple t/h simulation. If you were able to repeat that successfuly, I would be very much interested to know how you did it. Perhaps, Ken can also provide some hints on how you generated those plots for the article. thanks, LL |
Title: Re: help on repeating simple t/h example in Spectr Post by Ken Kundert on Jul 20th, 2006, 9:36am Perhaps you can be more specific? For example, which figures are you trying to recreate? Have you tried downloading the netlists and starting from there? -Ken |
Title: Re: help on repeating simple t/h example in Spectr Post by LL on Jul 26th, 2006, 11:05pm Hi Ken, Thank yuo for your reply. Yes I did download the netlist but still wasn't able to repeat the plots in the doc. BTW, the netlist as is doesn't run. I made some mod before I was able to get the sim to run. I see that dwingram is asking the same thing I after. Your reply to his post will defintely clear up my inquiry as well. I will wait for your reply. Many thanks in advance. |
Title: Re: help on repeating simple t/h example in Spectr Post by Andrew Beckett on Jul 27th, 2006, 10:05pm Really? Did you supply the -E argument to spectre (it gives you an error if you don't, since this example uses cpp directives). I just re-tried both netlists, and can run with: Code:

Title: Re: help on repeating simple t/h example in Spectr Post by LL on Jul 27th, 2006, 11:54pm HI Andrew, Thank you for your reply. Yes, the -E corrected the error. Does your pxf result look close to fig 8 in the doc? |
Title: Re: help on repeating simple t/h example in Spectr Post by Ken Kundert on Jul 28th, 2006, 4:48pm There was an error in the paper. To get the results shown in Fig 8, the PXF analysis must use the node 'sout' rather than the node 'out'. I have updated the paper and the netlists. -Ken |
