Title: Spectre modelling of a photodiode
Post by MK on Jul 31st, 2006, 9:40am

Hi, does anyone have any suggestions on how to model a photodiode in Spectre.  I am currently using an ideal current source, however, it is not the most accurate and useful model.

Thanks.

MK,

Have you considered writing a behavioral model in Verilog-A?
Verilog-A would even allow you to handle cross-domain effects,
such as quantum efficiency.

                                                              Best Regards,

                                                                 Sheldon
