Title: PZ-analysis in spectre Post by hchanda on Dec 7th, 2006, 3:08pm Hi all, I am not at all aware of the PZ analysis in spectre. Can anyone please provide an example ? I would like to understand what input source implies. I tried looking into the manual, could not find any info. I am trying to find Poles and zeros in LDO. Thank you, hc |

Title: Re: PZ-analysis in spectre Post by Andrew Beckett on Dec 12th, 2006, 2:12pm It's also a good idea to read the documentation, since there is some... Look in cdsdoc or in the pdf files under <mmsimInstDir>/doc Andrew. |
Title: Re: PZ-analysis in spectre Post by hchanda on Dec 12th, 2006, 4:45pm Thank you sheldon. But I do not understand the significance of the input probe, which is a voltage source. Andrew, I tries searching in the cdsdoc but could not get the information that I am looking for. I would like to know what is the purpose of the input probe ? If we have a multiple feedback system then how to do the PZ analysis. Thank you, hc |
Title: Re: PZ-analysis in spectre Post by Andrew Beckett on Dec 13th, 2006, 8:31am Hi hc, The input probe and output probe are to allow it to compute the zeros. The poles are computed anyway. Even if there are multiple feedback paths, the poles and zeros are computed. This is explained even in "spectre -h pz" Regards, Andrew. |
