Title: Regarding the Calculation of Adm Post by qiushidaren on Dec 24th, 2006, 10:42pm Hi dear all, I am reading the book <<Design of Analog CMOS Integrated Circuits>> by Prof. Razavi, but I have got a question right now. In page 124, there is a formula for Adm, but when I calculated it by myself I got a different result, which is (Rd/2)[2gm1+2gm2+4gm1gm2Rss/1+(gm1+gm2)Rss]. I don’t know what is going on here. Can someone help me? :'( Regards, Terry |

Anyway, I'd suggest all of us students can post our book-related questions in a separate topic so that it doesn't get buried under other those real-world design issues which is the primary reason why the forum stands for! So, terry..take the initiative 8-) Cheerz Gau |

Hi Gau, Yeah, maybe it’s a typo, or maybe not, who knows. Maybe we should directly send an e-mail to Prof. Razavi to ask him about this issue. 8-)Here is his e-mail address: razavi@ee.ucla.edu. Actually I have not been a student now, I’m a 100% analog IC design engineer working for an IC design house at Shenzhen, but I like studying and reading classic IC books after work, which include Razavi, Gray & Meyer, Allen, and Tsividis, and I also like communicating with all of you here about analog IC design issues. ;) Your suggestion is really a good idea, so if I have something regarding these books, I will post them in a separate topic. :) Regards, Terry |
