Title: How to use HSPICE model in ADS? Post by Jeff on Feb 12th, 2007, 6:49pm Hi, Can any one tell me how do I import an HSPICE level 49 spice model to ADS? I used the "import" in ADS and used the "design parameter", created a new bitmap for symobol, added it to pallete, and library browser, added a "netlist include" statement in my schematics........ but somehow the simulator doesn't associate my new symbol with the spice model, sometimes I get error about port matching..... the transistor is a four terminal device so I used a one of the existing symbol for MOSFET but I still got this error. Has any one imported a hspice model to ADS and used it in their schematics for creating Amplifier? Can you please write down the steps in reply? thanks, |

Translate model file to ADS style. # Netlist Translator ; nettrans (HSPICE -->> ADS) % nettrans hspice_model_file ads_model_file -h -g -l -n See "Netlist Translator for SPICE and Spectre" manual of ADS. [Note] Model49 is HSPICE original model, so we can't translate it perfectly. |
Title: Re: How to use HSPICE model in ADS? Post by Geoffrey_Coram on Apr 18th, 2007, 4:11am I thought LEVEL=49 was BSIM3v3 ... so you should be OK except for any HSpice-specific extensions to the model. |
