Title: relationship between INL/DNL and no. of bits Post by neoflash on Jul 7th, 2007, 11:04pm relationship between INL/DNL and no. of bits in some literatures, authors will state that "we improved INL to 9.5b". What is the relationship between these three specifications of ADC? |
Title: Re: relationship between INL/DNL and no. of bits Post by boe on Jul 9th, 2007, 12:57am Hi neoflash, In principle, there is no relationship between DNL/INL on the one hand and the resolution on the other hand. When we compare non-idealities or errors of an ADC with a number of bits, we mean that the error is as large as the quantization error of an ideal ADC with that given number of bits... BOE |
