For Verilog-A you will need an analog simulator: Hspice, Eldo, Spectre, and generally any commercial SPICE-type simulator will do. ModelSim will use only digital Verilog - you will need Eldo respectively AdvanceMS from the same vendor to use Verilog-A or Verilog-AMS.

Verilog AMS code runs perfectly on Cadence, so I recommend you to use Cadence!

Eldo has a Verilog-A option (you don't need AdvanceMS unless you're really doing Verilog-AMS).

ghad: "perfectly" ??  Hah.
