Title: Calibre PEX/Config simulation error Post by topquark on Aug 6th, 2007, 2:43am Hi folks, I need to run a parasitic-extracted netlist simulation. I ran Calibre PEX on the layout view of the top-level cell and on the sub-blocks inside the hierarchy, generated the 'calibre' views for all the blocks. Then, I create a test bench schematic and config view to run my simulation. When I use 'calibre' view for the top-level cell, the simulation runs with the full-extracted netlist.( the sub-blocks inside top-level cell automatically are instantiated as 'calibre' views I believe) Now, I need to use block-by-block extratced views to see which block is adding critical parasitics. So, I turn on 'schematic' view for ther top-level cell and try to use 'calibre' view for one of the sub-blocks. I get error during netlist generation: here's the attached snapshot of the error NOTE: I have DRC/LVS clean sub-block cell views and symbols match schematic in pins, wonder why pins are not being recognized during netlisting. |
Title: Re: Calibre PEX/Config simulation error Post by topquark on Aug 6th, 2007, 3:26am Ok, I just figured it out - it's a trivial case of naming the pins in schematic in lower case >:( So, Calibre recognizes the pins only in upper case! oops! my whole database needs to reflect this change now! |
