Title: errors caused by netlist extracting Post by Robert on Nov 11th, 2007, 10:10pm hi, guys I use the cadence IC5141 ADE to run analog simulation, but i can not run it successfully, since there is always a error "input.scs: R62 is an instance of an undifined model subcircuit". i check out the netlist created automatically by ADE, it is illustrated as following: R62(net100 net99 0) subcircuit length=15u width=2u but the right one should be: R62(net100 net99 0) nplus_u length=15u width=2u what happen? and how can i fix this problem, hope someone give me helps, i would really appreciate it, thanks! |
Title: Re: errors caused by netlist extracting Post by bernd on Nov 13th, 2007, 12:40am The netlist is created by what the netlister get's from the component description format (CDF). And there might the problem be located. I assume that you have no proper description for your resistor. Check you CDF with 'CIW -> Tools -> CDF -> Edit...'. CDF Type should be base, then check the for the correct model name under 'component parameters' and your check your simulator information for the desired netlister as well. Bernd |
Title: Re: errors caused by netlist extracting Post by Robert on Nov 13th, 2007, 7:07pm hi,bernd thanks for your kindly reply. i have fixed the problem, i did not set something correctly in the bash file, i replace the "export CDS_Netlisting_Mode="Digital"" by "Analog", now the simulation can be run successfully. Title: Re: errors caused by netlist extracting Post by bernd on Nov 14th, 2007, 12:01am Sounds reasonable with CDS_Netlisting_Mode="Digital" the netlister does not look for the CDF information as well. Bernd |
