Title: Does the output probe contribute to the nois Post by Julian18 on Nov 29th, 2007, 4:38am Hi, there when I am simulating noise, usually a resistor or a port are specified as output probe, I just want to know if the output noise comprises the contribution due to the resistor or output port? Thanks. |
Title: Re: Does the output probe contribute to the Post by didac on Nov 29th, 2007, 10:26am Hi, Output noise takes into account all the noise of the circuit including the load, NF calculated with a probe eliminates the noise due to the probe. PS:check Virtuoso Spectre Circuit Simulator Reference for a detailed explanation of how spectre calculates noise quantities. Hope it helps, |
