Post by xutailong_2005 on Dec 20th, 2007, 4:48pm

1.What's the functions of simulators( cdsSpice, HspiceD, HspiceS, spectre, spetreS, cdsSpiceVerilog, HspiceSverilog,
SpectreVerilog and spectreSVerilog) in Analog environment of cadence and difference among them?

Hi Xu Tailong,

hspiceS is oder than hspiceD. HspiceS is an interface only that starts the standalone HSPICE tool. So it cannot simulate without a standalone HSPICE tool installed. However, the hspiceD is HSPICE tool which is integrated into the cadence software package.

Look forward to the comments about other tools.
