Basic question on checking for adequate saturation margin:

Which figure do you use to check for margin:

Vds vs.
1. VDSAT from .op analysis OR
2. Vgs-Vth from .op analysis

Use should use the VDSAT from the op analysis as that value is reported back using all the 2nd and 2rd order effects to calculate true VDSAT.
