Title: QVCO test buffer match Post by yhq0413 on Jan 16th, 2008, 10:57pm I designed a QVCO, the frequency is 4G,now I need a test buffer to evaluate it Does the test buffer need to match 50Ω? I know the test buffer for LNA must match 50Ω?I think the QVCO test buffer need not,but I am not sure. Does the buffer that does not match 50Ω affect the phase noise and other performances? |
Title: Re: QVCO test buffer match Post by Stefan on Jan 17th, 2008, 12:21am How do you want to measure it and WHAT do you want to measure ? For amplitude performances (gain, swing, etc.) a matching to your measurement equipment is important, for time measurements (frequency, PN,etc.) it's unimportant as long as you've got a sufficient output swing and no reflections ... (That should answer your question.) |
