Title: "Noise-Aware PLL Flow" in Spectre
Post by dadir76 on May 13th, 2008, 4:41pm

Hi ,
Here is the link to "Noise-Aware PLL Flow" feature in Spectre:
http://www.cdnusers.org/community/virtuoso/resources/ctp_cdnlivesv2007_Thibieroz.pdf

How to get this plug-in to work on Spectre? Does it require a new license?
Also can it handle flicker noise in VCO ?  Can we do .tran and .ac simulations with this plug-in?

Thanks.

Dadir76,

It might be best to ask your local support these questions,
1) Use MMSIM62 USR1 or above, the GUI has been enhanced
2) Not yet
3) The use model as envisioned is a time domain, transient simulation

Can the marcomodel which is created when running a pnoise/pss analysis be changed such to make it suitable for a dual path PLL?

Thanks

I believe R&D are working on this right now (CCR 628286). In fact it may even be for a service request from you (I'm guessing, purely based on the "Glasgow" in your profile being reasonably close to the location for the customer involved)...

If it's not you that is in contact with customer support in the UK, please contact customer support to request this.

Best Regards,

Andrew.
