Title: Limiting amplifier/RSSI offset subtracter.
Post by aaron_do on Jul 2nd, 2008, 2:01am

Hi all,

just wondering, for a limiting amp based RSSI, is it necessary to have a DC offset subtracter for the limiting amps? I've seen one paper with and one paper without...

The receiver is not a direct conversion receiver, but i guess the output might still saturate...

thanks,
Aaron

Yes, DC offset cancellation is very necessary especially in CMOS RSSI.
