Title: Dynamic Characterization of SD D/A
Post by mitrobgenis on Oct 31st, 2008, 1:38am

I want to characterize a SD DAC with a bandwitdh from 0 to 1 kHz using spectre. It has a 5-bit internal DAC with differential current output.

For the analog part, in order to measure SNR  should I apply a 1 LSB input to the 5-bit DAC and measure the noise? Shall  I measure the noise to one current output or in both ?
What shall I take as rms value for the signal?

What about Dynamic Range and THD?
