Title: how to run STB analysis with initinal condition Post by microant on Dec 3rd, 2008, 11:29pm Hi all I want to run STB analysis in analog deign enviorment with initial condition, while, when I set some net with init value and check the output operation point, I find that the inital condition does not work. Could anyone tell me how to add the initial condition when run STB analysis? thanks! BR, Lin :P |

Use "prevoppoint=yes" or "readns". |

I read the help for Spectre and try as you said. when I set "prevoppoint=yes" and add initial condition in the ADE, the OP is still not change. about the option 'readns', could you tell me how to setup it? Title: Re: how to run STB analysis with initinal condition Post by ACWWong on Dec 18th, 2008, 12:05am The way i would do this is: 1) set the order of simulation as dc stb (in ADE its Setup-> Analysis order) 2) in the dc options form click "force" to "all". This will make DC analysis force the initial conditions you set up in the schematic i.e. your initial conditions (Setup->Convergence Aids-> etc.) 4) in the stb options form click "prevoppoint" to "yes". this will now take the dcOp from the previous dc simulation which has been forced into taking the initial conditions hope this helps aw |
