I have a model for an external diode. The model has been provide by a vendor in spice format. The diode is in my top level verification test. How do I import this model and link it to the diode symbol in my test bench.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks that helped out a lot. One problem I am still having is the model is actually in P-spice format. Spectre seems to be having problems reading that format. Is there a document on converting from Pspice to spectre?

Don't think so, sorry. Normally it's only an issue if it's using PSPICE "behavioral" constructs - normal devices are normally OK.

Is it complaining about the syntax (.model) or a parameter? Spectre might be thinking the file is in Spectre format.
