Title: spectre pnoise noise separation
Post by salty on May 12th, 2010, 7:25am

Can someone explain a little about the noise separation option in spectre pnoise analysis?  I'm looking at a mixer noise sim and the results are a little confusing.

1> When I look at sideband 0 noise output, does that mean noise sources that do not experience a frequency translation?

2> Is this noise density all positive frequency of spread over pos and neg frequencies?

3> Likewise, for sideband -1 and 1, are those sidebands that experience frequency translation to my measurement output.

Thanks!

Yes.

Yes, it is a Single Sided PSD regardless of "freqaxis expression".
