Title: number of digits in ADE results display
Post by subgold on May 26th, 2010, 1:55am

when using ADE and its results display window, there are always by default four digits shown for all the result values. are there any ways to change it to more digits? or which parameters in the environment/initial setup files are related? and it would be better if i could define the location of the decimal point/number of significant figures.

i am using cadense 5.10.41. thx in advance for your answers.

If the results are produced by Spectre, you could set the number of digits you want using the 'digits' option.

i am using spectre, do you mean Simulation->Options->Analog...->digits?
the default value is 5 and i changed it to 8, nothing happened, still got the same number of digits as before.

how exactly should i change the option?

Subgold,

Woooooooooh, ic 5.10.41...

After you display the results in a table, the default value is 4 digits.
  • Click the column(s) that you want to change the number of digits.
  • Click the right button of the mouse, select Format.... A window named Format Attributes pops up.
  • Change the number in Significant digits.
  • Click OK or Apply. The job is done.

Best Regards,

If you want to see a different number of significant digits displayed in the schematic, you can use this command.

aelPushSignifDigits(x)

Where x is the number of digits you want displayed.  This is useful for looking at the DC voltage and operating points in the schematic without having the print the operating points.

Hope this helps! :)
