Title: Transient Noise Analysis in Synopsys HSPICE
Post by pancho_hideboo on Jun 18th, 2010, 8:51am

I heard Synopsys HSPICE now have Transient Noise Analysis.

Is this true ?

What version of HSPICE is this analysis available in ?

According to their web site:
http://www.synopsys.com/Tools/Verification/AMSVerification/CircuitSimulation/HSPICE/Pages/WhatNew.aspx?cmp=HSPICE09-HSPICE-HL

transient noise was added in 2009.03 and 2009.09 (phase 1 and phase 2, whatever that means).

Thanks.
I have an access of this version of HSPICE.
I will try it.

There are following two approaches in Transient Noise Analysis of Synopsys HSPICE.

    Phase 1: Monte Carlo-based approach
Phase 2: Stochastic Differential Equation (SDE) approach

Is this "Stochastic Differential Equation approach" popular and common approach even in other vendor's simulators ?
